Heat - how to survive it safely?

Summer is usually the most-awaited season of the year. However, when the heat wave comes, we start looking for cooler places. Heat can be easily survived safely! We should treat it seriously and be prepared in advance.

Water - the best friend

A healthy adult person should drink at least 2 liters of water every day. Ignoring this rule on a hot day might be dangerous! In summer, a bottle or a glass of water should always be in hand. Drink small sips regularly. The strong desire of drinking water indicates that the body has been deprived of access to water for too long.

Clothes just right for the heat

Short-sleeved shirts, skirts or shorts, clothing made of airy fabrics – these are clothes that we love to wear during the heat. Keep in mind that the color we wear is also very important part of choosing right clothes. Clothes in bright colors reflect sunlight, which makes the high temperature not so noticeable.

Don’t stay in sunlight for too long

On a cold day, we dream to sunbath and spend as much time in the sun as possible. However, when summer comes, it turns out that it is not such a great idea at all. On hot days, long-term exposure to the sun should be avoided as much as possible. It is recommended to remain in the semi-shade between of 11 and 3 pm.

Suntan cream not only on the beach

Many people use suntan creams very occasionally, most often during holiday trips or while staying on the beach. However, it is recommended to use UV filter every day. Spread the cream on the skin about half an hour before going out into the sun. Keep in mind that protective cosmetics are effective only for a year after opening.

 

As you can see, hot weather doesn’t have to be dangerous. Proper behavior will allow you to survive and protect yourself from negative consequences. Responsibility and prevention are the keys to success!
